Wow, Kirana, haven't seen any ships like those before! It looks interesting, yet quite cool, if you ask me. Not to mention your offensive capability -- three whopping chrono gears, all linked to your weapons. Splendid! One tiny tip if you feel like your ship being "sluggish", you can enhance rotation speed by attaching two-four beta-tier boosters to the side of your ship. Nothing is wrong with your ship, but you said it still was pretty sluggish, so I thought I'd just come up with something. Just sayin', you know? After all, great job!
gamemasterme, I haven't seen a ship with so many snipe launchers attached to it in a long time. You seem to be speedy, am I correct? I like how you've let the ship's only "weakness" be its frontal side, meaning that an engaging hostile would take a hefty load of bullets before even reaching you. Nice! You've been quite lucky with those oxygen tanks, too -- I still haven't found any myself, *sniffle*.
Also, remember back thrusting, even though I'm pretty sure you already know about it.

Damn Kirana, I've wanted to make a barge like that with my current playthrough! As I mentioned earlier, I spoke about upgrading smaller, low-tier decks and girders, and I was successful in doing so. If I had stayed in that sector, I would have emulated your design! I recently gained two extra chrono gears two, which makes me being more hellishly dangerous mwahahahaaa! Gamemasterme, you'll find ways of enhancing your designs to allow better performance in time, but otherwise I very standard and classic Successor/Forever layout that I tend to use, so well done! I'll reconfigure tonight, and post the results I'm out of the red with University work, so I have more free time

Okay, here we are: it's nothing much, but it's my latest design. As you can see I found plenty of Chrono gears and even a factory that sold Juliet-snipers, most other factories sell torpedo launchers which I'm not very interested in. This is also the penultimate sector in the game so I will stay here until I decide to begin again. Luckily, this is a "manyship" sector, so I believe I will go out in a blaze of glory, surrounded by a dozen ships all baying for my blood!

Nice ship! Completely impenetrable, by the looks of it. And those chrono gears ... My goth ... How many ship will you take down today, I wonder? But seriously, you've got a truly powerful ship there. You've got to be really unlucky to be defeated by any hostile you meet upon. I find torpedo launchers quite common in factories. Perhaps it is that they're kind of difficult to use and slow reloading? This area you're talking about, this sector; do you have any stations available to liberate? You see, I've just beaten my first Juliet-tier guardian, and I've been given access to this wormhole. There are no other stations nearby -- not even a SOS signal. Is this the penultimate sector you're talking about? Whilst I'm at it, I can show you a picture including both my latest ship and the only station available to me (Notice how there are no SOS signals): I want to make a little short story about what has happened after the previous ship I posted about, but maybe some other time.

Don't go into Omega - it's an empty sector for you to asphyxiate in!! It's the last sector, there's nothing at all I look forward to your story, I'll do a similar one too

!SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T REACHED THE END YET!imageshack.com/a/img600/1967/8vs0.png(This part ain't got spoilers, just the picture above)Oh, I didn't know. Perhaps I should've check this one out before asking, hehe. But you say there's nothing? So this second last sector is kind of the last sector? Why is there nothing? All these questions ... I won't enter, though. Thanks for the warning. UPDATE: I entered the wormhole due to the fact that there was nothing else to do. I got to experience what the end was like. But I still didn't expect that message. Then I'll look forward to yours, too (:

Ah it sucks doesn't it? That's why I'm going to spend for ages in this sector! There's plenty of ships so I can make some designs whilst here, perhaps learn something new! But first, I'm trying to emulate some of the fantastic designs I've seen from you guys on this thread and the previous thread!

It looks like that wormhole leads to a planning site. Perhaps some major construction is in the works? If so, that's great - the Belt could use some more settlers for a change, not to mention actual activity. I'll have to relay this information to the mates over at Haynesport, and see what they think. ( Maybe we should discuss this further?)

So I managed to beat a guardian with my ship looking like this: Managed to get the barge pretty much exactly as it was previously, after getting the front half torn off by the aforementioned guardian. Screenshots help! Also, gotta love that one area that seemed filled with Chrono Gears at Bogus Gap (I think that's the name, bravo stations just to the west of the main hub). I haven't seen so many Chronos in like, forever. On another note, the barge is actually pretty fast in a straight line now, but it still turns like... well, a barge.

What a conglomeration of parts! It looks fantastic, in my opinion, very Alien (that is, the film) in my opinion!
And it's perfectly balanced too?

Also, Perez, I love your last ship! I didn't get the chance to look at it properly last night as I was cooking (or rather, watching someone cook) and couldn't pay much attention to it. It looks awesome, really cool. All those Blurst shields clearly makes your ship quite formidable, and I'll assume it's very light and agile too?

Haha, that's alright. Thanks. I was not expecting balancers built up with blurst shields in the third last sector. They even gave me opportunities to snag their useful modules. Yet, even if there was enough blurst shields to turn my ship into an immortal one, I still didn't feel like using them all. They were very heavy, too, slowing my ship by about 40 %. But I stumbled over more of them in higher tiers, so I attached them to my ship, and as you can see, that was the last product. They do indeed come in handy if my shields go down.
It was quick enough, I'd say. It had the speed I preferred. Though, the best part about it was the "machine-gun", thanks to the chrono gears. I think my evil side broke out whenever hostiles came to join the bloodbath ...

Hah! I know exactly what you mean, Perez! There's nothing more satisfying than hearing "I will see your death!" from any enemy ship, only to watch it literally disintegrate as it enters the screen. You've seen the Successor ships on here that are just /filled/ with chrono gears. There's no stopping you then, you have a frontal firing death beam that can cut Juliet-tier ships in two within a second.

Haha, that is true! Pierce the heavens and pierce anything beyond -- that should be a slogan for the chrono gears. Wonder how a pure Alpha destroyer, decked with chrono gears would do against Foxtrot and the next tiers.

I would reckon that with enough Blurst shields, an alpha-destroyer would be incredible, but very hard to create... I'd love to see one though

Haha, that is true! Wonder how a pure Alpha destroyer, decked with chrono gears would do against Foxtrot and the next tiers. I would liken it to a machine gun trying to kill one of those big city-destroying robots from the movies - they can't move much and by the time they've done anything, the robot has flattened the whole thing.Actually, even better: The fighters from Independence Day trying to blow up the mothership. They can't do anything and by the time they've used up all their missiles...well, you get the idea.

Since my previous post was several hours ago and certainly off-topic to this one, I see no problem in posting once more. "Millionaires, I tell you! Barnettport is FILLED with millionaires! They've got a scrapyard there for whoever wants to take a bite out of the Charon...or you whenever you wanna pounce on 'em yourself!"All the banks being filled in Haynesport, there really isn't much for us to do anymore besides patrol. So patrol we did. After paying a quick visit to the guys who hang around Port Vinson, just so I could get the bank at Dornberger's Landing up to 500K, I figured I could swipe a bit of cash out of the gentlemen around Barnettport...the richest pilots in the entire sector, no doubt. As it turns out, only the group between BP and Earth's Colony have the Snipers, and they were actually hanging around the Nav station this time, so they managed to fire some shots into the Charon. Only took out a couple Snipers of our own, thankfully! Anyway, after repairing the Charon and selling their stuff, it was time to finally get to the bottom of those other groups. Today, they weren't very numerous so we didn't have any trouble at all cleaning them up. One group with missiles, one with lasers and ramming spikes. I actually spent like 15 minutes cleaning those three up. End total: 1.9 million, 1.8 of that from Barnettport. Now, playing Rich Uncle Pennybags is fun, but the area is still pretty dangerous. It's probably the only area we could lose a ship anymore, besides maybe Port Vinson if that big long one jumps us again. Oh, yeah...our ship, FINALLY, is 100% certified JUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULIET-class! It's about time, seriously. Not even Lawrence Cook could pull that off. (Blame Adobe Flash Player, actually.) Hopefully Vincent Jones won't get plagued by visual feed crashes.

Very nice vessel you have, auburn! I'm thinking you could use Trusses instead of girders to save weight and get even more space to put more lasers and boosters. My own vessel's not making much progress... Ignore everything in the blue box. That is scrap. Except the Chrono Gear, I'll use that.

While it looks quite formidable, I myself wouldn't be comfortable flying it around...for two reasons. First, the snipers at the front, I think, are way too spread out. What would happen if you killed the outer girders on a Foxtrot and he could maneuver in between your laser fire? Speaking of, Delta+ Snipers could potentially tear through this ship from three sides. I see one specific location that would require about three Orange lasers to render the Charon completely defenseless. But indeed, as you've said, it isn't complete. Keep these in mind, though. And thank you. That should be the final form of our Charon pending any Auxiliaries popping up. That's the primary function of the lone Sniper in the rear. Think of it as sort of a chisel.
