This is what i have so far.

Ill be filling it in as i go.

Id have it a lot more filled in but i had some pretty dumb bugs stop me from being as invincible as i had thought i was lol.

totally invincible now. using a different browser and being VERY carful not to run out of oxy. REALLY wish there was an upgrad to oxy!!

oh heres my sexy ship. when i found the blurst shield factory i said out lout "farbs i love you man"

ive found factories for ALL modules EXCEPT repair and shield. kinda depressing. but ive found my fair share of stuff methinks.

Can i get someone to go to the factories on the map and make a list of who sells what?

Hmm? I don't think it useless. I think it's great! The 0.1 alpha is still around, and your map would be extremely useful for anyone trying to finish it.

lol well its only a partial map anyway. i comitted suicide to move onto the next one.

realised a much easier way of doing things too. wish i had found it sooner.

next map will have asteroids even

for no very good reason i felt like having another go at 0.1, and (with the help of Jayce's tool) have mapped most of it. There's some duff data in the database which i can exclude by just using my data, but unfortunately the rest of you don't have that option.

(some of the duff data is my fault, but not linked to my account so i can't fix it. sorry.)

As you can see i'm missing the production on a couple of the far north factories. I've probed all the blank spaces to some extent, but the south-west least thoroughly - i probed the edges quite a lot but i never built a ship fast enough to get all the way into the unknown.

It was quite an interesting map structure with a fair few leaps into the dark required. Perhaps the sweetest discovery was the UJ in the south-east.

It was fun to be back on a 500 radius map and i was nostalgic for the old shield mechanics. The 3 min oxy limit is really harsh and MKII thrusters were a big part of living with it (i was a good customer of the only factory making them). I only really lost one pilot to suffocation - he died lost in a rock maze - but several times i had to throw away a lot of stuff as i stripped down my ship for a desperate sprint back to an oxy station. At least with Jayce's tool it's easy to work out which way to head for the nearest one.

At one point i built an 'indestructible' ship protected all round by blurst shields and just a couple of weapons that could be moved to the outside when needed, then almost immediately took on a guardian with loads of translocators who just flew to overlap me and vaporised me from the inside.

I'm unlikely to map more soon as chrome seems to have randomly discarded all my forever save data...
