My friend really likes this game but can't play it well because he's partially colorblind and can't tell the difference between the different ship parts that well at all. Furthermore, even I sometimes have trouble telling the difference between E and F pieces and H and I pieces on sight; I have to click on them to make sure.
If it's possible, a colorblind option would be extremely helpful.

How exactly would a colourblind option work? Possibly a simple, small letter on the inside of girders, and maybe just subtle floating around all the attachment modules (lasers, boosters, things without an interior)

I'm not colourblind either, but I have the same problem with Hotel and India. Perhaps in the next version there should be an option to create higher contrast between the problem classes. Would that work?

I've played around with the colours a number of times to try to alleviate this, but the core problems remain: 1) I need to show level in a simple an obvious way, and colour is the only tool I can find that does this well. 2) The colour spectrum is limited. I can't just invent new colours.
I could try to address point 2 by also using saturation and brightness, but then it really isn't clear how brown relates to yellow, or how pink relates to magenta.

Yeah, I don't understand how you could do that.

Believe it or not, Dippler, they might still have this problem considering it hasn't been addressed in three years. C'mon, lad.

I know that, I was saying that I agreed that there might not be a way of fixing it, which in that case, could really suck.
