I find it rather frustrating trying to explore virgin space even with a Juliet class juggernaut (thanks for the catchy phrase capnderp) when there is this massive asteroid cluster on nearly every edge of the viewable VMEDS Nav display. Me thinks that a new type of weapon module that provides the ability to inflict damage upon said asteroids would be quite handy for this distasteful predicament. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ After thinking on the subject for a while I decided to play around in MS Paint again. My efforts yielded this: (compared to an early class truss of course) I call it the Asteroid Drill! It would be extremely heavy, only available in Juliet class, and very rare. One would have to hunt down quite a few Juliet class enemies in order to attain an asteroid drill module. I understand that it would require quite a bit of recoding in order to make something like this work, but it just seemed like a real novel idea to me. Your thoughts?

I sometimes find, when my ship is just too large for a gap between asteroids, that it would useful if I could make the gap wider. Maybe all asteroids could have dangerous hot rock cores, and you could be able to destroy the crust with a drill module. Hey look, I can use MSPaint too! I'm off to make a totally original epic webcomic made totally in MSPaint now!Attachments:

I remember reading elsewhere on the forum an idea similar to this, with the addition of being able to mine hot rocks and use them as a rare kind of fuel/upgrade for specialized weapons

Yeah, this is a cool idea, so why doesn't Farbs see this?
