Hello Captain Forever community. I just became a supporter after months of playing the original Captain Forever and am loving Successor imposer and alpha Jamison!
One thing i got a bit down about was that i played Jamison for quite a few hours in one sitting for the first time and after about 3 or 4 hours into it and i decided to dock and do something else. when i just came back i went back to Jamison and hit launch and to my surprise i was back to the start with no pieces and no stations unlocked. what i would like to know is how the save game works so i could avoid loosing all my progress. i realize this is still alpha so for all i know it could be a bug or something. any help to avoid losing save progress would be greatly appreciated.
great work Farbs! keep up the great work!

ok so i have been reading some of forum posts and it looks like this might be a bug. so ignore this if it has been already reported.

Hi igeocar, welcome to the forum!
That does sound like a bug, but not one I've seen before. Usually the game stores your savegame in localdata, and even if you die or close the browser without docking your ship it should save which stations you've unlocked & the contents of your accounts and warehouses.
Can I get you to check something for me? Right click on the game and select Global Settings..., then have a look at the Storage tab. Is the radio box titled "Allow site to save information on this" selected?

ok so i right clicked and what i get is 1."visit farbs.org", 2."settings" (which i assume is the global settings because there is the storage tab in the little box when i click on it), and 3."about adobe flash player 10". i went into my settings and found a section titled "local storage". in there it asks "how much information can farbsfarbsfarbs.appspot.com store on your computer"? currently it is set to 100 KB on the slider (slider from none to unlimited) and there is a box titled "never ask again" (not checked) and it says that "currently used: 4KB" i hope this helps. i will try it again to make sure it still does it.
also it was saving my ship at one of the docks that i had unlocked during the game. i tried the saving by docking and then closing out of my browser, then going back to the game. this saved my ship and progress. but when i think i turned off my computer and whent away for a while it did not have my save.
hope this helps!

and it looks like it saved the first 2 stations that i unlocked from when i started over last night but i still started with just the command module. im not sure but i might have only had the command module for my ship after i ran out of oxygen or somthing.
