I figured since this update is taking a little longer I should capture some footage, to show what I've been working on.
The 0.4 surprise feature is atmosphere! Oxygen stations generate these around themselves, and they grow to envelop other online stations. You can refill your oxy supply just by entering the bubble, so there's less clicking overall, you can feel relatively safe occasionally, and a lot of the time you refill without even having to think about it.
I still need to clean it up a bit, but I hope to have it out soon.
What do you think?

Farbs:
Both new features look great!!
Clearly, you've put a lot of work into the visual quality of the oxygen atmosphere... actually, the gooey nature is a bit of out of sync with the vector aesthetic. But the concept is great, and will improve some of the headaches of the game.
The Planck shield is a great addition. Typically, I rely exclusively on bubble shields (blurst shields are too dicey), but I can see myself relying on Planck shields as well.
Eager to see what else you have in store for us!

Cheers! actually, the gooey nature is a bit of out of sync with the vector aesthetic. Yeah, that is true. It doesn't come across well in the youtube vid, but this actually renders to the same part of the scene as the bloom and pilot reflection so it doesn't look quite so out of place. I'm hoping to use the goop for a few other effects in future, partially because I think it looks cool but also because I think it could help visually distinguish Jameson from the other episodes in the series.

Genius! Great work as always farbs!
Can I ask, do you still telnet to the oxy stations or is that redundant now? I suggest making the atmosphere slowly-to-moderately fill oxy, while actually communicating with the station provides instant 100%.

That's an interesting idea, but I think the second mechanism would just confuse people.
I'll remove the manual oxy refill interface and replace it with something noninteractive. Not quite sure what yet.

Maybe some sort of atmospheric report as well as a "Have a nice day!" message?

Oh man, I just don't know if I can wait any longer... is there any sort of time frame?

Hmm, does the planck shield increase width with each class upgrade?
I think I can see how they came about, the confined spaces in Inferno meant that having Juliet class bubble shields meant navigating through some of the dense asteroid fields almost impossible. Planck shields would be a welcome alternative.

It looks really cool and I love the gloopy effect, but I can't help thinking that, like the asteroids, it looks like it shouldn't really be there. I'm not saying that the oxygen field is a bad idea, but I feel that it should look slightly less showy...

10tativ, remeber farbs did say that what you see on the video isn't quite what you see in-game.

Looks awesome, though I think i'll stick to bubble shields.
