Playing Jameson 0.2 for several afternoons now, i have noticed a couple things that have made the game periodically unenjoyable. My problem is that i am playing on a laptop that doesn't quite have the oomph to handle a lot of graphics, so i have been playing with the graphics set to low. Normally, this works beautifully. The game runs fast with not a single hiccup. But whenever the guardian ship comes out, the graphics effects of all the shaking and flickering kills the speed of the game! The laptop freezes up, the keys stick, and it makes it impossible to control my ship to kill the guardian ship. So would it be possible to add an option to turn off the shacking/flickering/etc. effects? I just lost a massive ship because the game froze up Thank you kindly!

Ah, so low graphics completely disables jamming effects?

Yea, that was what i was thinking, although adding a seperate option for enabling/disabling the jamming effects would probably work just as easily and give the player more choices.

Thanks for the report!
The flickering actually uses the same codepaths as usual in the same way, so I'm pretty sure it's not a graphics problem. Odds are it's related to other guardian behaviour, like their tendency to get stuck in stations. Anyhow, I'll see what I can figure out.
