As most of us are painfully aware of... Our command module's oxygen supply is rather limited without the use of external tanks. 30L, or 5 minutes of oxygen in total.
The AI on the other hand, their oxygen supply is listed as 1000L, or 166 minutes (and 40 seconds).
Aimlessly flying around in an oxygen field gives one lots of time to think, and crunch numbers. It also gives one time to think up of rather strange thoughts. This is one of my more recent ones. With the above information, in theory, would it be possible to have an AI ship asphyxiate like we are able to? Provided one has a surplus of over 194 oxygen tanks with them, this question will remain just a thought. One that probably will remain unanswered. For the time being, I have started collecting tanks in the hopes of being able to answer this question myself. At the time of this post, my oxygen count is 70L or 8 oxygen tanks. Only 186 left to go.
I am also wondering to those pilots still out there, your highest total oxygen supply? Highest I have bothered to go was 100L, curious to see if anyone else has gone any higher than that.
I may transmit more of these thoughts or questions of mine, but for now this is Captain Yamada signing off.

If I remember correctly, it is impossible for AI's to suffocate. This is because they have no human pilots...the Captain universe is much more bleak and cold than what most people realize. The Dawn Star is still incomplete, though...the beacons do nothing, Oxygen Tanks sometimes don't spawn at all, and the game (suprisingly) has a lot of glitches that break the game completely. I still like it though...too bad no one wants to start another, much less having anyone available to do so.
