I have tried many times to cheat in this game, but I don't think it is possible. I have tried using Cheatengine, HXD(Ram editor) and hunting for the save files.. How the hell do you do it, cause there is no way in hell those huge ships are legitimate.. seriously how can you achieve that in a single sitting? or do you just leave the game running? Is it even possible to get past Bravo modules without cheating? because whenever I go for a charlie ship, i get blown to pieces.(or run out of Oxy)

In Jameson? You know you can save and load in Jameson... So no, not in a single sitting. I've tried to reverse-engineer the Forever and Successor save code, but I'm no good at it If you are editing the ram, then you should be able to see it quite nicely, as all programs store their variables in the memory. And if you can't beat a Charlie ship... stock up more first.

I just re-dock all the time until ships come up that are just right, nick as much as I can, and repeat the process. I suppose that counts as cheating.

Ya, it just takes time, especially in the beginning. You have to be more patient/hesitant as to what you go attacking. If you see a ship that is way bigger/stronger than yours, just fly away and dock to refresh the enemies. If you stick with it for a few hours, the game gets much more fun as your ship progressively gets more dangerous.

Wad more weapons less parts. I saw pics of your ship in the other thread. You need to find a balance between thrusters to ship size. You also cant seem to hold onto your weapons, which is why I think your having so much trouble. Maybe put protect your guns more, put them in a barrel so only a straight shot can hit them. Dont just add parts cause you can, you want to stay maneuverable. When I have some free time I'll make a fraps of me playing the game starting from scratch.

It's a tough game, but I've cracked juliet several times. Play Forever/Successor some more if you struggle to hold your own in combat!

well its fairly easy to use cheat engine to modify how much money you have. but im yet to work out how to freeze o2 or command pod hp but im working on it. some help would be appriciated.
PS there are always people that say that cheats spoil a game but i disagree strongly i like to be able to cheat when i wish. this is an escape from real life where when things get tough i have to work harder i don't want to work harder in my recreational time too thanks. if you do I suggest your real life isn't challenging enough

I am also having a very difficult time using cheat engine to edit my money. Could anyone help? I cant find the value, even when I go step by step verbatim.

Im using chrome and cheat engine 6.1 as long as you get the right process. It finds the money straight away. As I say o2 and health is a different matter. I've managed to track o2's memory location if you change from 4 bit check to text. But I'm not managing to work out what writes to there. I'll keep fiddling.

I've found a far simpler way to "cheat," at least for chrome users. When docked, I open multiple tabs of CJ0.5. each tab initializes the game as if I was still in dock. Then I use one tab to go play and if something goes wrong I can just revert to a previous tab. Each time I dock I close the old tabs and open new ones. This has eliminated a little bit of pain for me, (unfortunately not before getting Juliet level parts... so yeah, I died a lot first).

Can you tell me the specs of where the money is located? that would help a lot.

I've only played the free version of captain forever and in 2 hours of gameplay have only managed to kill the peacekeeper twice. When you reach foxtrot, the pace really ramps up and you have about 12 seconds to rebuild your ship if you're lucky. You basically have to be dodging bullets while at the same time staying within view of the parts you are modifying, being careful to not let those parts get hit by the enemy lasers. Having only used my mouse when playing RTS games, I find the most difficult part to be making my ship go the correct direction while i'm rebuilding it.

Camo, it is all about being fast, and knowing how to balance your thrusters properly. That, and you need a fast ship, one that decel would approve of. Inside jokes aside, I do have the premium games, and they are worth 20 dollars.
Oh, and I was thinking... What is the URL to change your base command module into an info buoy? That would be a fun playthrough.

I don't think that would be possible; it would probably crash.

Ok, let me try it again. It's trial and error.
Oh, and if you hack oxy, be sure to freeze the value. (It helps a lot)
More details soon... I've not touched the game in months.
