Have you played Rogue Legacy? The songwriters A Shell In The Pit and Tellix might hold more inspiration for you! Check out the RL soundtrack first, then their own stuff. They're pretty sick. C418 is always good but I've never heard of Disasterpeace

I think my giant wall about wormholes was a bit excessive and more than a bit insane, but that's become the norm for me, so I don't care! I was hoping for feedback though.
Also, wouldn't putting music into The Dawn Star be strange? I thought the only real music in the game was the changing pitch of the sound of your weapons being fired, and I would really like to keep it that way, for the most part. One of the most distinctive features of the entire Captain series is its audio environment. It's very lonesome and artificial: robotic voices, computer blips of various sorts, the drone of thrusters, and the occasional sound of a collision or explosion. The only way to break the effective silence is to continuously fire your weapons -- and even the pseudo-tune they play sounds lonely.
The only real organic sound that I can think of is the sound of entering or exiting an atmosphere. Perhaps, since you can only hear sound through a medium, there should be real music when you're in an atmosphere? Stations would make background noises depending on their type, but only if in an atmosphere. Ghost towns are still as quiet as empty space.
::edit:: In light of recent curiosity into the interaction of various mechanics in the Captain series, I'd like to request a test/creative mode! Just to throw together parts and see how it works.

I would love that in the most recent version.
