Hey, that's not a bad idea. Would be pretty nifty to have. How would it work on hostile ships, though? If they receive too much damage, they (attempt to) teleport away? That would at least make it harder to get and more rewarding when obtaining it. Or so I think.
Portable portal, heh. I like these ideas. Keep coming with them!

Good idea, but why not just increasing recharge and distance rates? Also, exponential weight, as you'll only need one. My logic here is Alpha engines aren't crap - so uniboosters don't turn really slowly, etc, but with each tier they are far more effective. Just keeps in line with the rest of the modules, otherwise there would be no point using them 'til Juliet or so :c

Exactly what I thought.

Maybe the blink drive would be useless on an enemy in the way oxygen modules do nothing for them. The distance should be fixed, maybe 2.5 km as that's pretty far and offscreen. They should follow a recharge rate similar to shields, no shield restarts faster and they all finish charging at once, no matter the level. Obviously higher tiers mean more weight and durability, but no faster recharge.
I'm still waiting for the scrappers to regain their neutrality, once upon a time they were, and for them to steal free floating parts like we do. AI rewrites sound terrible

The AI rewrites.... ok.

AI rewrites? Wait, what? Am I missing something? I would really like there to be something that doesn't kill you on sight, if that's what you mean. XD

yeah I'm sure scrappers were once neutral, as were the standard ships. the needlers were always aggressive. I think it has to do with the old Captain Forever's law level system being removed from Jameson/TDS.

Well, yeah. I mean, the ships would/wouldn't attack based on your law. But now that that's gone... pfft. The AI's sometimes are quite weird and funny to watch.
